Rotational Molding Inserts

An insert is a feature that allows other components to be fastened to your rotational molded part. The designed insert geometry provides a robust connection point.

A wide variety of stock inserts offered or custom designed inserts to fulfill your project needs. The in-house Design & Engineering Department will help you determine which inserts will work best for your rotational molded part.

How inserts work in rotational molded parts

Inserts are loaded into the tool and held in place mechanically with a fastener. During the molding process resin totally encapsulates the insert. The fastener is then removed from the tooling leaving the encapsulated insert within the finished plastic part.

Rotationally molded inserts are simple features to incorporate into part designs. Male or female threaded inserts provide strong and reliable anchoring points for multi-parts assemblies.
